Just hours before opening SEC play against Vanderbilt, LSU dismissed junior forward Craig Victor II for violation of team rules.

Victor, a native of New Orleans, played in eight games with five starts for the 8-3 Tigers this year.

“We are obviously disappointed that we had to take this action,” Coach Johnny Jones said. “It’s a privilege and an honor to wear the LSU uniform. When you commit to being part of our basketball program, there are expectations and standards that we demand from our players. Those expectations go beyond the basketball court.”
