Darryl Morsell, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound combo guard from Baltimore (MD) Mount Saint Joseph and the Team Melo AAU Program, cut his list to five schools

Morsell is down to Villanova, Maryland, Notre Dame, Dayton and Virginia Tech.

He is slated to take an unofficial to Maryland on Aug. 20 and an official to Notre Dame Sept. 17-18. He has already visited Dayton, Temple and others.

“The kid is as tough as nails,” Team Melo coach Dwayne Wise told SNY.tv. “He has similar upside to [incoming Washington freshman] Markelle Fultz in terms of being a late bloomer.”
