Troy Brown Jr., the 6-foot-6 guard, from Las Vegas (NV) Centennial, has cut his list to eight schools

Brown is down to Alabama, Oregon, UNLV, Kansas, Ohio State, Arizona, Cal and Georgetown.

He currently has no official visits set up, Las Vegas Prospects coach Derek Thomas told SNY.tv.

When it comes time to making a decision, he’s going to put a lot of stock in personal relationships.

“I would say building a one-on-one connection with the coach [is most important],” he said earlier this month. “That’s huge for me, especially if I am going to play that point guard position. I need to know how he feels about everything and what he wants me to do.”
