Quade Green, the 6-foot point guard from Philadelphia (PA) Neumann-Goretti and the PSA Cardinals AAU program, picked up an offer from Kentucky during his visit, Goretti coach Carl Arrigale told SNY.tv.

“Quade’s ability to run a team and get them to the winner’s circle is unmatched for an Individual who plays his position,” PSA Cardinals director Terrance “Munch” Williams told SNY.tv “With him receiving an offer from Kentucky, it is only more proof that he has put himself in the conversation for best point guard in the country. The next step is for college programs to believe he is worthy of having the ball in his hands from Day 1.”

He added: “Kentucky has a longstanding legacy that is beyond mentioning, and to have any one of our students officially invited to join that tradition is almost beyond expression. Quade has had such a transformative spring and for him to be recognized and valued by such a storied institution as one of the best nationally truly cannot be put into words.”

Green, who leads the Nike EYBL in assists (10.5) and steals (2.9), is the third Class of 2017 point guard to pick up a Kentucky offer, following Trae Young and Tremont Waters.

“I know they do feel like their backcourt this year [Isaiah Briscoe, Malik Monk and De’Aaron Fox] is going to be talented enough to all be gone possibly next year so they’re looking for players to come in and play,” Arrigale said Monday on The 4 Quarters Podcast. “They see him as a Tyler Ulis maybe with a couple more inches, which is probably a pretty good comparison. He’s got the guts of burglar. He plays really hard, he’s not afraid of any moment and he watched the Kentucky teams with Tyler out there. They see him as being a guy who can play that similar role for them the next few years.”

Green, who made the first USA U18 cut, visited Duke last week and picked up an offer.

“For him, it’s good because he works extremely hard and Duke is a school he always talked about,” Arrigale said Monday on The 4 Quarters Podcast. It’s just a testament to how hard he’s worked and how much is game is grown over the years with us. He came in as a scoring guard and he’s turned himself into a scoring point guard.”

He added: “What is there not to like about Duke and their program and getting to sit in Coach K’s office and talk hoops?”

Green also holds offers from numerous other programs, including Syracuse and Villanova.

Mohamed Bamba, Green’s 7-foot teammate with the PSA Cardinals, also holds offers from Kentucky and Duke among others.
