Florida landed its second transfer of the week when Jalen Hudson, a 6-foot-5 wing guard from Virginia Tech, picked the Gators over Texas.

He will have two years of eligibility after sitting out this coming season.

“I believe in what Coach [Mike] White is building,” Hudson told ESPN, which reported the news on Wednesday. “I think Florida gives me a great opportunity to perform at a high level, win at a high level and ultimately pursue my dreams in playing in the NBA.”

Florida previously landed Canyon Barry, who averaged 19.7 points and 3.4 rebounds last season and is immediately eligible.
