Alpha Diallo, ranked No. 95 in the Class of 2016 by ESPN, told SNY.TV that he has committed to Providence.

“I built a strong relationship with Coach [Ed] Cooley and he has a clear vision for my future,” he said.

The 6-foot-7, 200-pound forward from Brewster [N.H.] Academy chose Providence over VCU and Oklahoma State, according to Brewster Academy’s coach Jason Smith.

“Alpha has great size on the perimeter and has demonstrated excellent ability to score,” Smith told SNY.TV.

Diallo averaged 16.4 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game at Brewster, while shooting 77 percent from the free throw line and 47 percent from the field.

His commitment leaves five players in the ESPN 100 undeclared.
