Duke’s Jefferson out for year

Duke’s Amile Jefferson is out for the rest of the season with a foot injury, the school announced.

Jefferson, 22, played just nine games this year, none after Dec. 5. He averaged 11.4 points and 10.3 rebounds.

The school will seek a medical hardship waiver in hopes he will be eligible for next season.
