4_2972477Georgia Tech landed a pledge from Romello White, a 6-foot-8 power forward from Marietta, (GA) Wheeler who they believe is a Thomas Robinson-type.

Ranked the No. 15 power forward in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports.com, White also considered Mississippi, Auburn, South Carolina, Iowa State, Auburn and Virginia, according to Scout.com.

“First off it’s home and then they are in the ACC, so that’s big,” White told Scout. “I have a good opportunity to go there and start and get exposure,” White said.

“I felt like I should stay home because I have the most support here,” he added. “I have my family here.”

White joins small forward Christian Matthews in head coach Brian Gregory’s 2016 class.
