GilesHarry Giles, the No. 1-rated player in the Class of 2016, has set five official visit dates.

The 6-foot-10 Giles will visit Wake Forest Sept. 19, North Carolina on Sept. 25, Kansas on Oct. 10, Kentucky on Oct. 16 for Big Blue Madness and Duke on Oct. 31, as first reported by Jon Rothstein.

Giles wrote in his USA Today blog that he and his best friend Jayson Tatum would be a “problem” should they team up at Duke.

“Of course everyone wants to know if we’re still planning to play together like we’ve been talking about and it’s definitely something that we still always talk about,” the 6-foot-10 Giles wrote. “He knows I’ve gotta do what’s best for me the same way he did, but Duke is a school that’s high on my list and if it works out like that it’s gonna be a problem!

“We’ll see what happens with everything.”

Giles recently announced that he was transferring to Oak Hill Academy (VA) and is down to five schools — Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina and Wake Forest — with Duke the clubhouse leader to land him.

“Now that I’ll be going to Oak Hill I’m gonna try and get some visits in before I go; I’ll keep you posted on when that’ll be because right now I don’t know yet,” he wrote.

“I talk to the coaches all the time, of course; I feel like we all have great relationships. Coach K always keeps me laughing, Coach Cal is cool, Coach Williams is funny, Coach Self is cool and Coach Manning is cool too. I feel like we all have great relationships, which will make my decision a lot harder.

“I don’t think I’ll cut my list again; I think the next announcement will be where I’m going.”

Giles’ father told me at the Peach Jam his son would likely announce in the fall.
