  • Bracket Update: Lunardi Gives Gonzaga a No. 1 Seed; St. John’s, Iona, Hofstra in NCAA Bracket

    wiltjer-1In Joe Lunardi’s latest mock NCAA Tournament bracket on ESPN.com, Gonzaga has risen to a No.  1 seed, joining Kentucky, Virginia and Villanova.

    Utah, Kansas, Wisconsin and Duke are the 2 seeds.

    The ACC has eight teams in the bracket, while the Big 12 and Big East have seven apiece. The Big Ten has six.

    St. John’s, coming off Wednesday’s win at Providence, is among the Last Four in, joining fellow Big East programs Villanova, Seton Hall, Butler, Xavier, Georgetown and Providence.

    Locally, Hofstra, Iona and St. Francis-Brooklyn would again be in the bracket.
