Whitehead headSeton Hall freshman guard Isaiah Whitehead will undergo an MRI Tuesday on the stress fracture in his right foot, head coach Kevin Willard told SNY.tv.

Whitehead is expected back sometime later this month, but Willard said there is “no target date.”

He could return for the Jan. 22 game against DePaul, or the team could hold him until after the Butler/Marquette trip, meaning he would return Jan. 31 against Xavier.

The Big East Preseason Rookie of the Year, Whitehead is averaging 11.9 points and 4.3 rebounds for No. 19 Seton Hall.
