NCAA Basketball: Duke vs ConnecticutEAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — UConn senior guard Ryan Boatright isn’t listed on the DraftExpress.com 2015 Mock Draft, but he certainly helped himself on Thursday night.

Playing in front of 39 NBA personnel at the IZOD Center, the 6-foot Boatright went for 22 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in a 66-56 loss to the No. 2 Blue Devils.

“He showed great speed and quickness,” one NBA scout in attendance told SNY.tv. “He did not have enough help. He plays both ends. He’s an off-the-bench, change-of-tempo guy in the NBA.”

A second scout said Boatright, who won an NCAA championship alongside Shabazz Napier last season, could be a second-round pick in 2015.

“I think he’s a second-round pick,” he said. “I think he’s better than [former Louisville guard] Russ Smith. He’s playing with no one. He’s doing all that [stuff] by himself. Someone will give him a chance.”
