Antoine Mason is the latest pickup for Auburn and new coach Bruce Pearl.

The 6-foot-3 Mason is the son of former Knick forward Anthony Mason and averaged 25.6 points last season at Niagara. He also considered Providence, as well as Memphis, Cincinnati and others.

“It was close but [I liked] the intangibles,” Mason told SNY.tv. by text.

The news was first reported by Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com.

Auburn also added Marshall transfer Kareem Canty, junior college forward Cinmeon Bowers and small forward T.J. Lang in the late period.
