Marshall transfer Kareem Canty enjoyed his visit to Penn State and says he will make his decision “soon.”

“It was better than what I expected and people give credit for,” the 6-foot-1 Canty said by text. “I love the support and facilities.”

Canty said Penn State head coach Pat Chambers and his staff planned to use him the way they did Tim Frazier, who averaged 14.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists last year for the Nittany Lions.

He has now visited Penn State, USF and Auburn and is done with his visits.

“Decision coming soon,” he said. “Next couple days.”

The Brooklyn native averaged 16.3 points and 5.5 assists last season as a freshman at Marshall.
