Sean Obi announced Monday evening via Twitter and Instagram that he will be transferring to Duke from Rice.

A rising sophomore, Obi will be eligible for the 2015-2016 season after sitting out next season. He is the second newcomer for the Blue Devils for 2015, joining recruit Luke Kennard.

“Happy to officially announce that I will be attending Duke university for the rest of my college…” Obi tweeted.

Standing at 6-foot-9, weighing 260 pounds, Obi averaged 11.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game as a freshman for the Owls, and should be an impact player for the Blue Devils.
