Matt Farrell, an uncommitted 2014 point guard from Point Pleasant Beach (N.J.), picked up a scholarship offer from Notre Dame on Sunday night and he will visit campus April 12 for the Blue/Gold Spring Game, head coach Nick Catania told SNY.tv.

Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey watched Farrell last week, as reported here.

“He is going out to Notre Dame in April for the Blue/Gold football game,” Catania said.

Creighton, Providence, Rutgers and Monmouth are also involved for the former BC commit, but Notre Dame might be the team to beat now as they are looking for a point guard to come in next season to help current freshman Demetrius Jackson.
