  • There is still no word from the NCAA on Florida’s Chris Walker and it’s possible he could miss the entire season, an NCAA source told SNY.tv Wednesday.

“Him not playing at all this season remains a possibility,” the source said.

A McDonald’s All-American, Walker is projected as the No. 10 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by DraftExpress.com. Yet on Chad Ford’s new Big Board, Walker is projected as the No. 20 pick in 2014 to the Boston Celtics, who are also projected to take Australian point guard Dante Exum at No. 4.

Walker joined the team on Dec. 14, but has yet to play while the NCAA takes an extended look into his situation.

Meantime, Florida coach Billy Donovan sounds increasingly frustrated by the situation and said he didn’t expect the 6-foot-10 freshman to play Saturday vs. Tennessee.

“As it relates to Chris, just listen to us and our school. I’m not going to address it anymore,” Donovan said, according to USA Today. “Certainly we’re hopeful he gets back soon but there’s been no indication that there’s any truth to that at all [playing Saturday]. Whenever he gets cleared, and certainly we all hope it’s soon, believe me, I’m not going to throw a guy in a game and have him pop up and you guys not be aware of it. The minute he gets eligible, cleared, and he’s able to play, I’ll let you know. Anything else that’s out there about that is not true.”

NEW YORK – The futures of Long Island Lutheran junior forward Marvin Prochet and sophomore guard Devonte Green (pictured) look very bright after their impressive performances in a 64-58 win over New Jersey power Linden on Monday at the Big Apple Basketball Invitational at Baruch College.

Prochet, a 6-foot-7 wing who transferred from Boys and Girls and is about as versatile as they come, took home MVP honors after putting up 17 points, 10 rebounds and four assists while providing some hard-nosed defense as well.

Green, a 6-2 combo guard who transferred from St. Mary’s of Long Island and is the younger brother of the San Antonio Spurs’ Danny Green, made several big shots down the stretch to ice the game for his LuHi team; he had 11 of his 16 points in the second half, including a back-breaking lay-up very late in the fourth quarter on which he was fouled.

“‘Both can play high-major if they continue to work hard on their games,” LuHi head coach John Buck told SNY.tv.

Prochet spoke after the game about his coaches viewing him as LuHi’s version of a swiss-army-knife, able to play anywhere on the court.

Isaiah Jackson, a 6-foot-6 combo guard from Gainesville (FL) The Villages Charter School, has verbally pledged to George Mason.

He is considered a versatile perimeter player who can play multiple positions. He’s averaging 15.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists for the Buffalo, who are 21-1 and ranked No. 2 in Class 4A in Florida.

South Alabama and Texas Tech also showed interest.

“He plays point guard here for us, but he can really develop into a guy who can multiple positions,” head coach David Krakoff told SNY.tv. “He can probably play 1-4 when he’s done developing.

Myles Turner has rescheduled his official visit to Oklahoma State for Feb. 1 when the Cowboys play Baylor, his father told SNY.tv.

The 6-foot-11 Trinity (TX) Euless big man was originally supposed to visit Dec. 6 but wasn’t able to make it.

He has also visited Ohio State and Texas.

Turner is now listing Ohio State, Kansas, Duke, Kentucky, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma State and SMU, and plans to sign late.

Kansas could well end up having the No. 1 and 2 picks in the NBA Draft in the form of Joel Embiid and Andrew Wiggins, but the cupboard will hardly be bare at Kansas next season.

Enter Cliff Alexander and Kelly Oubre.

The Kansas-bound duo put on a show on Monday at the Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass., especially the 6-foot-8 Alexander who went for 30 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks as Chicago Curie stunned the No. 1 team in the nation, Montverde (FL) Academy, 73-69.

Projected as the No. 3 pick in the 2015 Draft by DraftExpress.com, Alexander dominated Montverde with a series of jaw-dropping dunks, including the left-handed putback slam pictured above. He scored 13 points in the final 4 minutes, 30 seconds.

NEW YORK — Even following a tough loss to Long Island Lutheran on Monday at the Big Apple Basketball Invitational at Baruch College, Linden coach Phil Colicchio did not hesitate much when asked if he would put Quadri Moore’s name alongside the top prospects in the state like Roselle Catholic junior point guard Isaiah Briscoe and Kentucky-bound senior forward Karl Towns of St. Joseph’s-Metuchen.

“I’m not going to say anything to put Karl Towns down ‘cause he’s a heck of a player and [Isaiah] Briscoe,” Colicchio told SNY.tv following his team’s 64-58 loss. “I will say this, I think Quadri Moore is the most complete player in [New Jersey] basketball. I’m talking about passing, shooting, rebounding, dribbling and banging inside.”
