Keenan Evans, a 6-foot-1 point guard from Richardson (TX) Berkner, has committed to Texas Tech.

He also considered Western Kentucky and Wichita State.

“They have a proven head coach in Coach [Tubby] Smith,” he told SNY.tv. “I loved the campus, bonded with the team and also it’s a great academic center.”

As for what he’ll bring to Tech, Evans said, “I’m an efficient player. I have great court vision. I have great composure and I’ve been described as an elite scorer.”

Evans joins small forwards Zach Smith and Justin Gray in Tech’s 2014 class.
