Jalyn Patterson, a 5-foot-11 combo guard from Alpharetta, Ga., who plays at Montverde (FL) Academy, pledged to LSU on Sunday.

“My relationship with coach [Johnny] Jones and the teammates made me pick LSU,” he told SNY.tv.

“I will bring an ability to get others involved on the court.”

Patterson joins Elbert Robinson, a 7-foot center from Texas, and 6-9 Louisiana power forward Aaron Epps in LSU‘s 2014 class.

Patterson hit the game-winning 3-pointer last April when Montverde beat Tyler Ennis and St. Benedict’s Prep in the ESPN NHSI final.

Ben Simmons, a 2015 five-star forward from Australia who also plays at Montverde, visited LSU this weekend along with Patterson, according to NOLA.com.
