Cliff Alexander, a 6-foot-9, 250-pound 2014 power forward from Chicago Curie High, has received a scholarship offer from Kentucky.

“I got happy,” he told Cats Illustrated via Lex18.com.

Rivals ranks Alexander as the No. 4 power forward in the Class of 2014.

Alexander said he spoke to Kentucky coach John Calipari for 10 minutes earlier this month.

“Basically he was saying he wanted to coach me,” Alexander said.

“… I was smiling the whole time he was talking.”

Alexander also reportedly has offers from Michigan State, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, DePaul, Louisville, Kansas, Florida State, Tennessee, Connecticut, Wisconsin and Iowa.
