Adam Zagoria is a Basketball Insider who covers basketball at all levels. A contributor to The New York Times and SportsNet New York (SNY), he is also the author of two books and is an award-winning journalist and filmmaker. Five of the top 25 players in the 2012 ESPNU 100 — and 13 of the 100 — remain unsigned, meaning numerous teams can still add top-notch talent come the April signing period.
“It is rare to have all these guys out there of [that] caliber of player that has not signed early,” one Division 1 assistant told FiveStarBasketball.com. “Most kids make a decision so much earlier and to have the caliber of player is kind of rare. But it’s good. We’re going to try to jump in on a couple of those kids.”
