NEW YORK — Mike Rice and Kevin Willard were both hired by Big East schools in New Jersey last spring.

Both replaced controversial coaches who failed to take their teams to the NCAA tournament during their respective four-year tenures.

Now both men will make their Big East coaching debuts Friday night.

Rice and Rutgers visit Princeton, while Willard and Seton Hall play at No. 22 Temple.
