    PISCATAWAY — On a beautiful sunny afternoon in late September, Rutgers has more than a dozen basketball recruits on campus for the North Carolina football game (3:30, ESPNU).

    In attendance for the game are:

    Mount Vernon point guard Jabarie Hinds’ visit to UCLA was postponed this weekend. He heads to UConn Friday and West Virginia Oct. 14...Kareem Canty will do a postgrad year at Bridgton Academy in Maine. “Yeah, I’m doing a PG year,” he said. Also, he is no longer considering Rutgers but is looking at one school the most.. “I took them (Rutgers) off my list. Alabama is at the top right now.” He will commit in the spring. “I’ve decided to wait until April.”…Jernard Jarreau ’11, a 6-10 power forward from New Orleans, has decommitted from VCU & has committed to Washington, according to a source…Bruce Barron has committed to Oregon…Joe Coleman committed to Minnesota….Tavon Allen committed to Drexel, per Alex Schwartz…Isaac Nielson committed to BYU…Dylan Ennis will make his college decision on Saturday at 1 pm...Toddrick Gotcher is on an official to San Diego this weekend.
