Kadeem Jack took his latest college visit this past weekend when he went to West Virginia for its elite camp.

“Kadeem played well and he got a chance to be on campus and visit” with the West Virginia players, a source close to the Mountaineers program said.

The source added that the West Virginia staff “likes him a lot and looks forward to watching him this summer.”

The 6-foot-9 Jack, who scored 16 second-half points last week in an all-star game in Greenburgh, N.Y., visited Rutgers unofficially last week.

He had listed Arizona, Arkansas, Miami, UConn and Rutgers but now says he’s considering West Virginia for 2011.

“For next year,” he said after the all-star game.

Jack says he still plans on attending South Kent (Conn.) for a prep year next season.

“Definitely,” he said. “Just for skill development, I need it, I need it.”

    PELLE VISITS ST. JOHN’S

Norvel Pelle, a 6-8, 190-pound center from Los Angeles Price High, attended the St. John’s skills and development camp this past weekend.

“I’ve heard about what they’re trying to do here,” Pelle told the Daily News. “I’m getting to know Coach Lav. I wanted to see what it’s like here. … Is St. John’s on my list? Yes, it is.”

Pelle is the No. 5 center in the Class of 2011 and told the Daily News his list includes UCLA, Washington, Kansas, Syracuse, Maryland and Miami, but that he’s intrigued by St. John’s.

“I’m going to take my time with it,” he said, “but who wouldn’t like the idea of playing at Madison Square Garden?”

New coach Steve Lavin has already secured a pledge from 6-7 Los Angeles wing Dwayne Polee and 6-7 wing Remi Barry of Del Oro (Calif.) High is due to visit June 18-20.
