PISCATAWAY, N.J. — The Rutgers football team appears to be experiencing a Ray Rice hangover that is threatening to sink its entire season.
A year ago at this time, Rice, now a rookie with the Baltimore Ravens, had rushed for 359 yards and five touchdowns, while adding a sixth as a receiver. He finished the season with more than 2,000 yards rushing and 24 TDs. Through two games this year, the entire Rutgers team has rushed for 246 yards and just one touchdown.
