Gonzaga transfer Hunter Sallis has committed to Wake Forest, he announced Wednesday.
A former top-20 recruit in the class of 2021, Sallis originally chose the Bulldogs over in-state Nebraska, Alabama, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, and Wisconsin, among several others. Wake Forest did not recruit Sallis in high school.
The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 4.4 points in two seasons off the bench at Gonzaga. He shot 46.6-percent from the field and added 2.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists as well.
“[Wake Forest] sold me with their great coaching staff and culture,” he told On3 Sports. “I think it’s a place where we can win some games and also I can improve throughout the year.”
Sallis is the second player to transfer to Wake Forest this season, joining former Central Michigan guard Kevin Miller.
The Demon Deacons will also bring in four-star Aaron Clark and Parker Friedrichsen in their class of 2023.
