Tyson Jolly is headed to Baylor.
The 6-5, 195-pound shooting guard from Oklahoma who prepped at Elev8 Academy (FL) committed to Baylor on Wednesday. He visited the Big 12 school last weekend.
Jolly also considered Oklahoma State, Oregon, Providence and Xavier.
“It was a great opportunity for me and for my family to be able to see me play,” he said. “I loved the coaches and how I was made a priority from Day 1 and not just another scholarship to be filled. I enjoyed hanging out with the players and they said nothing but good things about Coach [Scott] Drew and the rest of the staff. I felt comfortable there and I feel and know that I will be able to come in and make an impact as a freshman offensively and defensively.”
Jolly initially committed to Cal in April 2015 over offers from Oklahoma State, SMU and Gonzaga, among others. He signed an NLI last November, but decommitted on March 20.
Jolly joins small forward Mark Vital and power forward Nuni Omot in Scott Drew’s 2016 class.
