Four-star small forward Marri Wesley has committed to Georgetown, SC Next first reported on Monday.
A 6-foot-6 senior from Southeastern Prep (FL), Wesley chose the Hoyas over TCU, Cincinnati, Mississippi State, SMU and Oklahoma, among others.
Originally from Texas, the Dallas native took just two official visits, visiting his hometown program of TCU before visiting Georgetown on Oct. 9 and committing to the Hoyas three days later.
Wesley began his high school career at Kimball HS (TX) before transferring to Southeastern Prep in Orlando where he plays for head coach David Peavy, who’s the father of former Georgetown standout and current Memphis Grizzlies forward Micah Peavy.
Wesley’s commitment is Georgetown and Ed Cooley’s first in the class of 2027, kickstarting another recruiting class for the Hoyas.
He’s rated as a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 81 overall prospect in the country, according to 247Sports.
