Four-star forward Davis Cochran is headed to play for Steven Pearl at Auburn, On3’s Joe Tipton first reported.
A 6-foot-9 senior at Brentwood (TN), Cochran chose the Tigers over Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Kansas State, among others.
Cochran took official visits to Auburn and the three schools mentioned above over the course of the fall, but his Sept. 4 visit with the Tigers was enough to get the versatile forward to be the latest recruit to commit to Auburn.
The Tennessee native is viewed as a prospect with untapped potential and one’s that able to play both positions in the front court at an efficient and high level.
Over the summer, Cochran spent time with Brad Beal Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit where he averaged an efficient 10 points and 8 rebounds per game.
Cochran is Auburn’s second commit in the class of 2027, joining four-star guard Jason Gardner Jr., who committed to Auburn on Sept. 28.
According to 247Sports’ latest rankings for the class of 2027, Cochran was rated as a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 123 overall prospect in the country.
