Four-star guard Malik Olajuwon, who’s the son of NBA Hall-of-Famer Hakeem Olajuwon, has cut his list of schools to six, On3’s Joe Tipton first reported on Wednesday.

Olajuwon, a 6-foot-5 rising senior at IMG Academy (FL), is down to Virginia Tech, SMU, TCU, Texas Tech, Minnesota and Kansas State.

In addition to announcing his top six programs, Olajuwon has also set dates for his upcoming official visits this fall.

Olajuwon’s visits dates are listed below:

    Texas Tech (September 18)

    SMU (September 25)

    Minnesota (October 8)

    Kansas State (October 16)

    Virginia Tech (October 23)

Continuing his family’s basketball legacy, Olajuwon’s older brother, Aziz, is also slated to play power-five basketball this season, with the other Olajuwon brother at Stanford for the upcoming season.

In 247Sports’ class of 2027 rankings, Olajuwon is rated as a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 84 overall prospect in the country.
