Tennessee has added another high-major transfer to its loaded transfer portal class.
The Volunteers have landed Vanderbilt transfer center Jalen Washington, his agent Daniel Poneman of WEAVE confirmed to ZAGSBLOG.
Washington, who was granted a fifth year of eligibility after a ruling granted members of the class of 2022 another year of eligibility, has appeared in 129 college games at North Carolina and Vanderbilt.
During his senior season with the Commodores, Washington averaged 8.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game in 36 appearances for the program.
Aside from his best career season at Vanderbilt this past year, Washington also made 16 starts for North Carolina over the course of the 2024-25 season.
In addition to the commitment from Washington, Rick Barnes and the Volunteers have also landed 12 additional commitments.
These commitments include four-star forward Ralph Scott, four-star Christopher Washington Jr., four-star forward Manny Green, three-star guard Marquis Clark, VCU transfer Christian Fermin, Wake Forest transfer Juke Harris, Kennesaw State transfer Braedan Lue, VCU transfer Terrence Hill Jr., Notre Dame transfer Jalen Haralson, Loyola-Chicago transfer Miles Rubin, California transfer Dai Dai Ames and Belmont transfer Tyler Lundblade.
