Iowa State has landed its third commitment in the class of 2027.
Four-star forward Jack Kohnen is headed to Ames to play for the Cyclones and head coach TJ Otzelberger, On3’s Joe Tipton first reported.
A 6-foot-6 forward from Wisconsin, Kohnen chose Iowa State over Nebraska and Iowa.
During his junior season at Slinger HS (WI), Kohnen averaged 20.6 points, 11.1 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.4 blocks per game for his squad.
Kohnen led Slinger all the way to the WIAA D-II state championship game. before his team ultimately fell short and finished his junior season 25-5.
He’s the Cyclones’ third high-school recruit in the class of 2027, following the commitments of four-star Donovan Davis and four-star Josiah Harrington.
