The NBA is every basketball player’s dream. But not every player has the same road to the league. Some are NBA ready after just a semester in college, others need some more time to develop.

North Carolina transfer guard Matthew Able remains undecided on whether or not he should commit to the 2026 NBA Draft, he said during the Draft Combine.

“It’s definitely a tough decision. I love UNC, I’m excited to get over there at some point,” Able said. “I’m still back and forth on it. I gotta think about it some more, get with my camp and figure it out.”

The 6-foot-6 Able committed to North Carolina as a transfer this season after playing his freshman year at NC State. He averaged 8.8 points and 3.4 rebounds as a member of the Wolfpack.

As of now, Able has been projected as a second round pick by ESPN’s mock draft. Whether or not Able is satisfied with that projection will likely play into his decision to take his chances in the draft or stay in college.
