Rutgers has added a 7-footer to its 2026 recruiting class.
Kansas State transfer Dorin Buca will play for the Scarlet Knights next season, the school officially announced on Monday.
The 7-foot-2 center from Perugia, Italy will join Rutgers for his senior year.
“We’re excited to welcome Dorin and his family to Rutgers,” Rutgers head coach Steve Pikiell said. “He gives us tremendous size, length, and shot-blocking ability, while also bringing experience from both the Big 12 and professional basketball in Italy. Dorin has continued to develop at every stage of his career, and we believe his best basketball is still ahead of him.”
Buca averaged 3.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game at Kansas State. He recorded at least one block in 20 games.
He will join Rutgers 2026 class alongside transfers Darin Smith Jr, Christian Gurdak and Lewis Duarte.
