Louisville has landed a pair of elite transfers after hosting them for a visit this weekend, Momentous Sports confirmed to ZAGSBLOG. ESPN’s Pete Thamel first reported the news.
Kansas transfer center Flory Bidunga and Oregon transfer guard Jackson Shelstad have both committed to Louisville, per reports.
Bidunga spent two seasons with the Jayhawks and averaged 13.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game this season for Kansas. According to 247Sports, Bidunga is this season’s top transfer on the market and will be headed to the Cardinals. Bidunga was originally scheduled to visit Duke on Sunday, but with his commitment, the visit has been canceled.
Shelstad, a top-20 transfer himself, visited Louisville alongside Bidunga this weekend and has now also pledged a commitment to the Cardinals. A 6-foot-1 product of Oregon, Shelstad spent three seasons with the Ducks and was held to just 12 games this season, due to injury. He averaged 15.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in his final season at Oregon.
In the most crucial week of the offseason, Louisville head coach Pat Kelsey has landed two of the top transfers in the country.
Louisville finished 24-11 last season, 11-7 in the ACC and lost to Michigan State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
