Mark Pope and his staff continue to rebuild the Kentucky roster for another NCAA Tournament run in 2026-27.

On Saturday, the Wildcats landed Washington transfer center Franck Kepnang. With the COVID year plus two medical redshirts, Kentucky is making the case to the NCAA he should get a seventh year of eligibility.

The 6-foot-11 native of Cameroon averaged 6.2 points and 6.3 rebounds last season.

Kepnang, 24, began his college career at Oregon in 2020-21 and spent two seasons there before spending four at Washington.

He joins Washington State transfer guard Jerone Morton, James Madison transfer guard Justin McBride, Furman transfer guard Alex Wilkins and Washington transfer guard Zoom Diallo in Pope’s portal class. The Wildcats also add European pro Ousmane N’Diaye.

Kentucky also has four-star point guard Mason Williams coming in.
