Kansas commit Darryn Peterson has been named the 2025 Naismith Boys High Player of the Year.

The senior guard plays for Prolific Prep in California, averaging 30 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals per game. He is ranked No. 2 nationally by ESPN.com and 247Sports.com and could possibly be the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA draft.

Peterson is the third Jayhawk to win the Naismith Boys High School Player of the Year honor, along with Andrew Wiggins in 2013 and Cliff Alexander in 2014.
