  • Isaac Traudt Breaks Down His Recruitment

    Isaac Traudt, the 6 foot-9 Class of 2022 power forward from Grand Island Senior School (NE), holds a number of high-major offers.

    Ranked by 247Sports as the No. 12 power forward in the Class of 2022, Traudt holds offers from Drake, Wyoming, Northern Colorado, Nebraska-Omaha, Idaho, South Dakota, Kansas State, Nebraska, Creighton, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Stanford, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Purdue, Oregon, Iowa and Ole Miss.

    He broke down each school for ZAGSBLOG Monday:

    Drake: “I’ve developed a pretty good relationship with Coach [Darian] Devries there and he’s turned Drake into a pretty successful program.”

    Wyoming: “I developed a really strong relationship with Coach [Sundance] Wicks there.”

    Northern Colorado: “Coach [Cory] Fehringer there used to be at Western Nebraska and he’s really close with my high school coach. Also, one of my best friends Connor Creech is a guard there.”

    Nebraska-Omaha: “I’ve talked a good amount with Coach [Derrin] Hansen and Coach [Tyler] Erwin there and they’re nice guys.”

    Idaho: “One of my best friend’s uncle is the head coach there and he is a really nice guy.”

    South Dakota: “Have only talked to Coach [Gameli] Ahelegbe but it’s been a while.”

    Kansas State: “I’ve gotten really close with Coach [Chris] Lowery there and he sends me stuff in the mail all of the time and does a fantastic job keeping in touch with me and it means a lot.”

    Nebraska: “I talk to Coach [Fred] Hoiberg quite a bit. He is very knowledgeable about the game and thinks I could be a good fit there.”

    Creighton: “I have been talking to them the longest. I’ve developed really good relationships with both Coach [Greg] McDermott and Coach [Paul] Lusk and they have a great program there.”

    Missouri: “I have a good relationship with everyone on the staff there. They’re all really genuine guys.”

    Oklahoma State: “Coach [Mike] Boynton and I have built a really good relationship as well as Coach [Scott] Sutton and Coach [Keiton] Page. Donovan Williams, who is a good friend of mine plays there.”

    Iowa State: “I talk to Coach [Steve] Prohm and Coach [William] Small a decent amount and they think it’d be a good fit for me.”

    Stanford: “The academics there are top notch as well as the program. I’ve developed a good relationship with Coach [Jerod] Haase and Coach [Adam] Cohen.”

    Wisconsin: “They’ve got a great program up there and I’ve done a couple zooms with them that I’ve really enjoyed. My friend Chucky Hepburn is committed there as well.”

    Notre Dame: “I’ve developed a good relationship with Coach [Ryan] Humphrey and Coach [Mike] Brey and I’m excited to learn more about Notre Dame.”

    Oklahoma: “OU is a national brand and that’s what makes them special. They’ve developed a lot of pros which is intriguing and I’ve developed good relationships with the whole staff.”

    Minnesota: “I have family up in Minneapolis and I’ve developed good relationships with the coaching staff up there.”

    Virginia Tech: “Me and Coach [Kevin] Giltner talk all of the time and their staff is genuine.”

    Ohio State: “Me and Coach [Jake] Diebler have been talking a lot recently and I’ve done a few zooms with them which has been cool.”

    Purdue: “They have had a very good program the whole time Coach [Matt] Painter has been there and I am excited to learn more about them.”

    Oregon: “Coach [Dana] Altman and Coach [Kevin] McKenna have been contacting me frequently and they’ve got a great program up there that I am excited to learn more about.”

    Iowa: “They have a system that I think I could benefit from and I’m excited to learn more about them.”

    Ole Miss: “The campus in Oxford is really nice and I’ve developed a good relationship with Coach [Ronnie] Hamilton.”

    Traudt has also received interest from Duke, Virginia, Kansas, Gonzaga, Illinois, Northwestern, Colorado, and Marquette.

    Over the summer, Isaac had several sensational games, drawing interest from teams all across the nation. He is set up to only rise from here on out.
