Makhi and Makhel Mitchell, the transferring twins from Maryland, committed to Rhode Island on Monday and will be eligible in December.

Makhi Mitchell averaged 3.0 points and 3.3 rebounds last season in 12 games with the Terps, and Makhel Mitchell averaged 1.0 points and 2.3 rebounds. Both are 6-foot-9.

“Big decision and it’s been made,” Makhi posted on Instagram. “100% committed. #GoRams.”

The Mitchells join coach David Cox’s program three days after forward Abou Ousmane committed on Friday, joining point guard Elijah Wood and shooting guard Ishmael Leggett in Rhody’s 2020 class.
