  • Howard transfer R.J. Cole sets two officials

    Howard transfer and former St. Anthony’s star R.J. Cole has set two official visits.

    Cole will visit Alabama May 1-3 and UConn May 9-11.

    Cole, who averaged 21.4 points, 6.4 assists and 4.1 rebounds last season, is also testing the NBA Draft process and was among the more than 230 names released by the NBA on Tuesday.

    UConn’s Dan Hurley and Kimani Young met Tuesday with Cole in Washington, D.C. Alabama assistant Bryan Hodgson also met Friday with Cole’s folks.

    The 6-foot-1 native of Union, N.J. will sit one year to play two.
