PHILADELPHIA — Jahvon Quinerly made his debut at the Under Armour All-America Camp on Thursday after an ankle injury kept him off the court Wednesday.

The 6-foot-3 point guard from Sports U and Hudson Catholic played in front of Kansas’ Bill Self and Norm Roberts, Villanova’s Jay Wright, Virginia’s Tony Bennett , Stanford’s Jerod Haase and assistants from Arizona, UCLA and Seton Hall.

“Honestly, I feel like every one of my seven schools is working hard right now,” Quinerly told me after the game.

Quinerly has so far taken one official, to Arizona, and is planning officials to Kansas (August) and UCLA (October). The Kansas visit will likely happen with his Sports U teammate Naz Reid, although Reid mentioned potential visits to the two schools in September.

“We’ll probably be seeing Kansas together, I don’t know about UCLA,” he said.

Quinerly is uncertain where he will take his remaining two officials, with Villanova, Virginia, Seton Hall and Stanford in the mix.

“I got five,” he said. “I gotta pick and choose, I’m not sure yet, but I’ll probably choose pretty soon. I want to commit before the high school season next season [which starts in December].”

He said it’s possible he could take an official to Seton Hall, even though it’s local.

“I might actually take an official to Seton Hall,” he said.

As for his first official to Arizona, he loved it.

“It was just a great experience, Allonzo Trier was my host,” Quinerly said. “I got to get a feel for the campus, I basically saw everything. Coach [Sean] Miller, I just got to build a great relationship with the whole coaching staff, Coach Lorenzo [Romar].”

Kansas will be up next, likely in late August.

“I don’t know much about Kansas, me and Bill Self, we’re starting to build a relationship,” he said. “That’s why I want to go see that school, me and Nazi together.”

After that he plans to see UCLA.

“I’ll have the ball in my hands,” he said. “I’ll have a great recruiting class. They didn’t really talk much about the Balls.”

He added: “It’s in the middle of the hottest part of L.A., the spotlight’s there.”

Villanova is also strongly in the mix for the New Jersey product.

“Villanova’s Villanova, they got Jalen Brunson could be entering the draft next year,” he said. “And their pitch is just putting the ball in my hands. They have a good 2018 class already.”

He also hopes to visit Stanford, Villanova and Virginia.

“I want to see Stanford as well,” he said.

Asked if he might visit Villanova and Virginia, he said, “I probably will, I’m just not sure yet.”

    “I love Virginia.”

Wherever he goes, he’s OK playing off the ball, but added, “I would like the ball in my hands.”
