The Carmelo Anthony-to-the-Houston-Rockets story continues to gain momentum after Nene posted a picture to social media of Anthony in a Houston uniform on Monday night.

“He will look great [in] this uniform,” Nene wrote.

Nene, who was initially drafted by the Knicks in 2002 and then played with Anthony on the Denver Nuggets from 2003-11, deleted the picture but not before it was captured with a screen shot and dispersed throughout the Twitterverse.

Meantime, Anthony’s buddy Chris Paul was asked by The Undefeated about potentially becoming a teammate of Anthony’s, assuming he waives his no-trade clause and agrees to leave the Knicks.

“Man, sit back and wait,” Paul said.

La La Anthony has said it’s a “real possibility” that her husband, an eight-time NBA All-Star who has never won an NBA title, could opt to leave the Knicks.
