Kevin Knox to Announce on Saturday (UPDATED)

Kevin Knox, the five-star forward from Tampa Catholic (FL) High School, will announce his college choice on Saturday on social media.

“No press conference,” Don Dziagwa, the basketball coach and athletic director at Tampa Catholic, said via email. “Kevin and the family don’t want all the fanfare.  They are planning on just announcing on social media Saturday evening.”

A report out of Florida also indicated Saturday was the day.

After initially saying it would happen between Thursday-Sunday, likely depending on a window on the ESPN networks, Kevin Knox Sr., said Thursday, “Expect this weekend to be the time.”

Knox is considering Duke, Florida State, Kentucky, Missouri and North Carolina and recently held in-home visits with all five schools.

Knox, who turned down a $1.4 million offer to play professionally in China next season, is ranked No. 9 by ESPN.com in the Class of 2017.
