    Brewster (N.H.) Academy power forward Taurean Thompson took in several schools over the weekend.

    The 6-foot-10 Thompson stopped by Seton Hall on Friday for practice and then attended Georgetown’s 77-47 blowout of Bryant on Saturday at the Verizon Center. Thompson and his mother, Sherese, also took a brief tour of campus.

    Thompson said last week at the National Prep Showcase that Seton Hall and Syracuse were working the hardest for his services. Since then, both Pittsburgh and N.C. State have offered and he visited Georgetown. Thompson plans to sign in the spring.

    Meantime, Seton Hall had numerous recruits in attendance for Saturday’s win over Georgia, including 2016 commit Myles Powell as well Luther Muhamad, Isaiah Washington, Matt Turner, Jahlil Tripp, Bul Ajang and Bourama Sidibe.

     

    ST. JOHN’S CHECKS IN WITH BASHIR AHMED

    St. John’s assistant Matt Abdelmassih was in Kansas over the weekend checking in on JUCO wing Bashir Ahmed.

    “It was great,” Ahmed said by text.

    The 6-foot-7, 205-pound combo guard from Hutchinson (KS) College and The Bronx now lists Cincinnati, St. John’s, Oklahoma State, Texas, Oregon and Texas A&M. He hopes to decide soon.

    “If not December, then January,” he said.

     

    ST. JOHN’S WATCHES NICK RICHARDS

    St. John’s assistant Barry “Slice” Rohrssen also watched 2017 St. Patrick’s big man Nick Richards on Saturday.

    The 6-11 Richards holds offers from numerous high-major schools, including Kentucky, Kansas and UConn.

    MICAH THOMAS ADDS LOUISVILLE OFFER

    Louisville is the latest school to offer Micah Thomas, a 6-7 small forward from Huntington (W.V.) Prep. Thomas previously held offers from Maryland and Baylor, among others.

    It remains unclear what visits Thomas will taking coming up.
