  • Metro Classic High School All-Star Game

    The annual Metro Classic High School All-Star Game takes place Sunday, Oct. 26 at the Island Garden in West Hempstead and will feature the top senior boys and girls from New York against their counterparts from Westchester and Long Island. The girls game starts at noon and the boys begin at 3:30.

    The New York boys roster includes Lance Stephenson and Maryland-bound James Padgett of Lincoln; Durand Scott of Rice; and Jayvaughn Pinkston of Bishop Loughlin. Click here for the entire roster.

    The Suburban team is still holding tryouts and hasn’t finalized its roster.

    Ruth Lovelace of Boys & Girls HS is the New York coach, and Rob Pavinelli of St. Dominic is the Suburban Coach.
