  • Springsteen to Play Super Bowl

Fresh off his trio of sold-out shows at Giants Stadium comes the news that Bruce Springsteen will play halftime at the Super Bowl next February.

Apparently word got out to Page Six when Steve Van Zandt made an all-tables reservation at a Tampa-area Hard Rock Cafe.

Ever since the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction, Super Bowl officials have gone with aging classic rockers like Tom Petty, Prince and, of course, KISS. Check that sweet video here.

One online poll had fans choosing Van Halen in a narrow margin over The Boss, with my man Neil Young and U2 trailing far behind.

Who knows? Maybe Brett Favre will join Bruce for the big game?
