K.J. Adams, the 6-foot-6 small forward from St. Andrew’s Episcopal (TX) School, broke down his recruitment for ZAGSBLOG Tuesday.
“I just got offered by Minnesota (Dec. 7) and I’ve been doing a lot of research on them just to see how their program runs,” said Adams. “I really like [Richard] Pitino‘s coaching style and how he uses the players on his current team like Isaiah Washington.
“The Big Ten is a solid conference and playing for Mr. Pitino is intriguing,” he said. “The fact that they are interested in a Texas kid speaks volumes.”
Adams also received an offer from Texas Tech last month. He broke down his thoughts on the Red Raiders: “Since I got the Texas Tech offer, I’ve had a good opportunity to talk to some of my mentors that were student-athletes at Texas Tech,” said Adams. “It was good hearing all the positive things they had to say about the campus.” According to 247Sports, Adams is ranked as the No. 33 overall player in the Class of 2021 and the No. 4 player from the state of Texas. With his recruitment still in its early stages, Adams spoke about his recruitment timeline. “I have no idea right now about a commitment,” said Adams. “That’s something I still have to talk about with my small circle. I’m focusing on moving up and growing as a player and a person as I get farther in my recruitment.” In addition to Texas Tech and Minnesota, Adams also holds offers from schools such as Baylor, SMU, TCU, Texas, and Texas A&M, among others. Kentucky and Purdue have also expressed interest. Photo: Indi Hoops Follow Jacob on Twitter Follow Adam Zagoria on Twitter And Like ZAGS on Facebook
