Lorne Bowman, the 6-foot-2 point guard from Orchard Lake Saint Mary’s (MI), announced his commitment to Wisconsin on Friday.

Bowman pledged to Greg Gard and staff over the likes of Iowa, Nebraska, and Valparaiso.

Throughout his sophomore season, he averaged 22.5 points and 4.9 assists while shooting 40.5% from beyond the arc.

Lorne took the time to break down his pledge with ZAGSBLOG.

“I choose Wisconsin because of the relationship I’ve built with the players and the coaching staff and how great the city of Madison is,” said Bowman.

“I’m a 6-2 point guard who can really score at all three levels. I make game-changing plays and play defense as well.”

As the point guard is the first commit for the Badgers’ 2020 class, he said,  “I want to get Jalen Johnson, Johnny Davis, and Ethan Morton.”
