Anthony Walker, the 6-foot-8, 205-pound forward from Brewster (N.H.) Academy, committed to Miami on Saturday.

He also considered Pittsburgh, Illinois and Boston College. He visited Illinois (Sept. 3), Pittsburgh (Sept. 14), Rhode Island (Sept. 21) and Miami (Oct. 6).

“It was great being out there [at Miami] just being able to see the coaches in person and spend a weekend with them and understand their goals,” he said after his visit. “It was great.

“Their message was that they wanted me to know as a freshman I would come in and be able to make an immediate impact, using my versatility. I wouldn’t be stuck at one position. They would have me all over the court.”

Walker joins point guard Isaiah Wong in Miami’s 2019 class. The ‘Canes remain involved for C.J. Walker and Vernon Carey Jr.
