James Bishop, the 6-foot-2 combo guard from Baltimore (MD) Mount St. Joseph and Team Thrill, committed to LSU on Tuesday.

Bishop had a final list that also included Seton Hall, St. John’s, VCU, Marquette, and Colorado. He visited St. John’s last weekend.

“He can have an amazing college career and a stellar NBA career,” said his AAU coach, Marcus Hatten. “This kid possesses a unique ability to shoot the ball and make players better.”

Bishop is the first 2019 commit for LSU and coach Will Wade.
